Google announced that the “Links to your site” feature in Webmaster Tools is now updated to show you which domains link the most to your site. The changes and additions were made to help you better understand where the links to your site are coming from and improve your ability to track changes to your site’s link profile.

WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH BING:
New Signals in Search: The Bing Social Layer
Ok so this might not be brand new this week, however, we felt it was worthy of including on our post. So, Bing and Facebook have partnered up to integrate their search features. So that when you search for something in BING, it will feed from your Facebook and vice versa. This move really follows BING’s business model of being a “decision” engine, combining results from the people we trust with the Web.

New Ticker and Athlete Suggestions for Yahoo! Finance and Sports Search
Yahoo announced the addition of a “Related Tickers” module in Yahoo Finance, and a “Related Atheletes” module in Yahoo Sports. The hope here is to facilitate a visitors ability to quickly navigate over to a player on the team they are reading about, or in the finance module, it provides 10 related tickers in order to facilitate your next search query. Just two more ways Yahoo is making search easier!

Update to Search Queries, Parameter Handling and Messages
Google announced that they have launched updates in Webmaster Tools giving a user more insight into how their website appears in search results. Changes include the addition of a “Change” column that is tied to date range, making it easier to pinpoint a particular change.

WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH BING:
New Features on Bing Maps REST Services
BING has announced the development of four new services for mobile or web including showing a route on a static map, ability to specify avoidance of tolls or highways by use of minimize and avoid parameters, and the ability to calculate a route from all four directions in case a user doesn’t know where they are coming from.
