GPS marketing has really taken on a whole new life with websites like Foursquare and Gowalla, but recently Google has also introduced their own GPS tracking tool where a person can find anything they want to do in their immediate location which is obviously a direction many businesses are starting to take. Also for many years when something great came out people would link to it. Twitter has stolen much of that thunder because it is easier to retweet something now rather than writing up an article and linking to it which brings a whole new set of concerns for Google.
We are going to see some really great things happen in this industry for the coming months and years due to the influx of technology and start ups that have made their way into the limelight.
